VeryPixel Mixed-License Notice

This repository contains work under different licenses. The license for each
part is determined as follows.

1. Squoosh-derived code

Code derived from GoogleChromeLabs/Squoosh remains available under the Apache
License, Version 2.0. The full license is in LICENSES/Apache-2.0.txt. Copyright
and attribution notices from Squoosh and other upstream projects must be kept.

2. VeryPixel original code and modifications

To the extent that copyright is owned by 阿杰 or VeryPixel contributors,
original VeryPixel code and copyrightable modifications are licensed under the
GNU Affero General Public License, Version 3.0 only (AGPL-3.0-only). The full
license is in LICENSES/AGPL-3.0.txt.

When a file combines Squoosh-derived material with VeryPixel modifications,
the Apache-2.0 terms continue to apply to the upstream material and the
AGPL-3.0-only terms apply to the VeryPixel modifications. Distribution and
network deployment of the combined work must satisfy all applicable terms.

3. Brand assets

The VeryPixel name, logo, and brand assets, including
src/static-build/assets/verypixel-logo.webp, are not licensed for use in a
fork, derivative service, or redistributed product. All rights in those brand
assets are reserved, except for reasonable use solely to identify or describe
this project and its origin. Forks must use their own name and branding and
must not imply endorsement by VeryPixel or 阿杰.

4. Third-party components

Third-party libraries, codecs, and assets remain governed by their respective
licenses and notices. See NOTICE, the codecs directories, dependency license
files, and the generated /open-source/ page.

Nothing in this notice restricts rights already granted by an upstream or
third-party license. If this notice conflicts with a component-specific
license, the component-specific license controls for that component.
